Compact cassettes not quite crunchy enough for you? The microcassette, a format designed only for dictation, has roughly half the frequency and dynamic range of your typical cassette. Uncovered in the estate of a relative, we found 12 microcassette recordings of a long-gone community orchestra. Cut from these recordings are numerous hits, chords, and individual instrument tones lo-fi enough to make even the most ardent VHS collector shed a tear.
