Sonic Collective Interlocking Guitars
P2P | 30 January 2024 | 399.61 MB
Interlocking Guitars is inspired by Steve Reich's work with rhythmic phasing and tesselationss, in particular the work he's done in collaboration with Pat Metheny. Guitarist and producer Marcel Camargo wrote, performed and produced all of the sounds you'll hear here. While the pack largely stays within this universe, it also includes loops with multi-layered chords played on nylon string, baroque-inspired loops and a few that venture into different musical styles while still exploring the concepts of rhythmic phasing and interlocking parts.

Marcel is an accomplished musician in the fields of Brazilian music, Jazz and Pop Jazz, he has worked with with legendary artists like Sergio Mendes, Michael Buble, Herb Alpert, he was musical director and producer on Gretchen Parlato's Grammy nominated record Flor, he's also played on many feature film soundtracks and appeared on many TV programs all over the world. For these recordings Marcel used a vintage AKG 414 microphone, he played a D'Angelico Jazz box and 1965 Di Giorgio nylon string guitar.
