Take 6 is legendary gospel jazz a cappella group that are considered trailblazers fusing these genres in a way that solidified them as influences for a number of Black male pop groups of the '90s and beyond, especially acts like Boyz II Men and modern artists like Jacob Collier.

The group has its roots in the rich vocal and musical history of the Seventh Day Adventist founded Oakwood College in Alabama during the early ‘80s formed by Mark Kibble and Claude Mcknight (brother of famed rand;b singer Brian McKnight). Take 6, also consisting of members Alvin Chea, Khristian Dentely (who replaced Cedric Dent in 2011) and Joey Kibble (who replaced Mervyn Warren in 1991), went on to find award winning, chart topping and platinum selling success for decades to come, leaving a mark and legacy in the industry that have inspired so many new artists.

“Invoice: The Chordal Collection” features Philadelphia based singer collective, Adrian Chambers, Gary Dawkins, Jamal Todd and; Lydell Baynard who were directly influenced by Take 6, also having roots in the SDA Oakwood College tradition, they pay homage to and have an affinity for the blended style a cappella singing Take 6 has perfected, singing in many choirs and ensembles together for over 20 years.
