South Indian Percussion features instruments like the ghatam, kanjira, pambai, satti, small nagara, parai, thavil and udukai. These instruments cover a wide range of styles and tonal palettes – while some instruments like the udukai (hourglass shaped membranophone percussion instrument) are used mostly in folk music, instruments like the ghatam (clay pot) are mostly used in South Indian Classical (Carnatic) music.

This pack features the talent of S Sunil Kumar, Vikram Rozario, Chandrashekar Sharma and MT Aditya Srinivasan. It was produced by Dhruv Goel, a Los Angeles-based composer and music producer.
