Earl R. Johnson (Dazz Band), Robin Duhe (Frankie Beverly and Maze) and Walfredo Reyes Jr. (Santana, Chicago) combine their skills for a improvised jam fusing Jazz, Funk and Latin flavors at The Fortress, LA during a Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up session. The extended jam offers sections of breezy latin drum fills deep jazzy piano chords and heavy bass grooves.

Andreas Klein earned a bachelor of music degree from the Conservatory of Amsterdam and his master degree in music at New York University. Andreas Klein has performed on numerous festivals across Europe, such as the North Sea Jazz Festival. He has received several prizes at international jazz competitions, e.g. 1st price at "Amersfoort Jazz Talent Award" and has been awarded with a full scholarship from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) in 2010 and 2011. Andreas has performed drums with Jean-Michel Pilc, Gerard Presencer, John Clayton, Howard Brofsky, Susan Martin Weinert, Christof Thewes, Roland Gebhardt, Jimi Tenor, Jules Buckley, Wayne Krantz, and Joe Lovano.

Most contemporary sample packs focus on highly undynamic samples. Audio-destructive processes like normalization and digital compression are the norm rather than the exception.

We are not saying this is a bad decision. We do this ourself on our Flavours series, and it’sa good way to imprint character of certain styles or eras to your sounds.

But being honest, there is a loudness war going on in the sample world and everybody is on the same one-way-only train: my library has to sound louder than yours.
