The Analog Drum collection features drum samples that were originally sampled from vintage hardware including Korg DDM-110, Moog MG1, and Roland CR-1000. After collecting these samples we lightly processed, layered and filtered them to create new unique drum sounds.

Mod Distortion Drums contains 32 drum loops and 68 one shots for a total of 100 samples. Various drum machines were used to create this pack. The machines were routed and mangled through multiple modulation sources, tape and distortion effects. The samples were desgned for hard techno and modern industrial productions. The samples were meticulously engineered and no additional processing is needed. The loops can also fit right into any digital DJ set. All loops are clocked at 135BPM and are easily interchangable. Concept Techno Volume One is the first of a series of sample packs by Grid Based Beats with the objective of full-scale construction kits designed for making hard techno. All samples clock at 135BPM and correspond to the same musical key, making it easy to drop these samples into any DAW or hardware sampler and achieve a smooth workflow. The sample pack includes drum loops, one shots, bass and synth lines as well as ambient drones. The samples were created using various hardware including a modular synthesizer system and analog drum machines. The synth samples include wet and dry versions. Some samples also have multiple measure lengths (2, 8, 16, etc.) to allow for filter sweeps and modulation to evolve. The drum loops include full and broken down versions (kick removed) as well as corresponding one-shot samples. The machines were processed through analog compression with light EQ. This sample pack contains 100 kick drums with varying flavors. This includes long and short decays, hard and soft hits as well as FM synthesis. All samples are 24 bit / 44.1kHz .wav files and labeled by texture and/or style for ease of use. The samples were created using drum modules from a modular synthesizer, Elektron RYTM and Tempest drum machine. The samples were processed with analog compression, EQ and recorded through an RME ADI-2 A/D Converter into Pro Tools. Load into any DAW or sampler and begin using. There's no additional processing necessary. While created with techno in mind, these kick drums can be used across multiple music genres.

This pack contains 177 drum samples made from the legendary Morpheus Z-Plane Synthesizer. Released in 1993, this synthesizer used Z-Plane synthesis and filters to morph between sounds. These 14-pole filters modeled resonant sound characteristics that when applied to drums, created very unique and clean sounding percussion. To create this pack, the Morpheus was routed through a Focusrite 2802 preamp and lightly compressed using a Manley Vari-Mu compressor and recorded into the DAW using a Black Lion Sparrow A/D converter. Extremely light EQ was the finishing touch. The samples in this pack are labeled by percussion type and/or type of filter. The pack contains 32 synth loops, divided into two musical keys for easily creating lush, melodic patterns. The focus was on using random generators and then chopping those sequences into 2-4 measure loops.
