Live drums are a staple in most genres of music. In hip-hop music, we have a tendency to take live drum samples and process them until they smack the way they ought to. Deep Marsh, our latest drum sample kit, is no exception. We recorded one shots from a live drumset, and dipped each sound in a swamp of analog processing (outboard compression, analog tape, Pultec style EQ) until each hit took on a larger-than-life persona of it’s own.
