Emulation II was designed specifically to reproduce the warm digital sounds and analog textures characteristic of 80's music. A massive library of samples was recorded from a professionally restored unit and utilized in this hybrid instrument - giving you the sonic character of real vintage hardware with the added control and sound shaping flexibility of analog modeled filters and advanced digital signal processing.

With the world dealing with a global pandemic, studios and music shops closed, I really had to get creative with sound design.

As a producer, I know what other producer look for and need when it comes to new sounds. I understand when we hear new sounds we get inspired, excited and push the boundaries. That's exactly what I did here.

By far one of the sweetest sounding and most influential analog synths we've had the privilege to work with, an iconic and powerful instrument whose lineage helped shape the sound of music and music for film throughout the '80s and beyond. Developed as the first fully-programmable polyphonic synthesizer with preset storage, this version 10 was the original prototype of what would become the mythical version 5, debuting in 1978 and revolutionizing the synthesizer world. It was only 3 years later, in 1981, that the more complex version 10 would see commercial release.

The Best of Both Worlds. A feat of instrument design, the SunSyn is a fantastically complex-in-all-the-right-places labor of love from German synthmaker JoMoX. Released in 1999, it can be considered in simple terms as an 8-voice polyphonic analog/digital hybrid, or in a more adventurous way as 8 discrete modular mono synths.
