First made available to the public in 1971, this synth continued to be produced with very little change for over 10 years. Considered the most popular synth ever by some there's no doubt the instrument has led a prolific life, leaving a massive wake in its path; changing perceptions and influencing synthesizer design to this day. With a striking balance of simplicity and sonic range it was one of the first real novice-friendly systems, a factor that surely contributed to its success and also made it a superb tool for teaching the basics of subtractive synthesis. Being one of our favorite sounds of all-time, we create the UltraMini - a testimony to the timeless sound of a luminary synth pioneer.

With UVX670 we're heading back in time to the '80s to deep-dive, layer and combine sounds from two unique, underrated analog gems from Japanese synthmaker Akai; the VX600 and the AX73. Both are six-voice analog polysynths, the VX600 being a pad monster with dual VCOs per-voice and the AX73 being remarkable for leads and basses with a 6 VCO architecture usable in either poly, stacked or unison modes through Curtis 4-pole 24/db resonant lowpass filters.

PX V8 is based on an exceedingly rare American polyphonic analog synthesizer, the Voyetra Eight. Released by Octave-Plateau Electronics in 1982, this unassuming 3-space rackmount synth is an analog powerhouse sporting 8 voice cards and an incredibly deep modulation system. With 6 pages of parameters to customize the Voyetra Eight was nothing if not flexible, but in the end it's the sound that counts and it does not disappoint. Thanks to subtle differences in each of the voice cards and a powerful unison mode, the Voyetra Eight delivers a wonderfully uncompromising analog sound with rich, powerful leads, thick basses, warm, modulating pads, strings and more. A unique instrument with a sound greater than the sum of its parts, the Voyetra Eight packs a huge analog punch into a small frame that until now has largely been lost to time.

In 1951 Stefan Kudelski developed the Nagra I, a high-quality reel to reel tape recorder that was quickly sought after for its compact ruggedness and reliability. The Nagra series would go on to revolutionize the world of radio broadcasting, television, documentary filmmaking, and cinema. Over the following years Kudelski continuously improved upon his original concepts and in 1972 introduced the Nagra 4.2. This iteration features microphone input capability, built-in equalizers, and a compressor/limiter.
