nicopop is a dance-pop project born out of the mind of Los Angeles-based producer, songwriter, and visual artist Nicolas DiPietrantonio. Born in New York, Nico first emerged as Louis Vivet, a dance project success that earned him fans from both the dance and indie-pop worlds. After a sold-out US tour with Gareth Emery, Nicopop emerged with the release of his first single ELEPHANT, with START AGAIN following close behind. Nico frequently collaborates with other Los Angeles musicians, most recently having composed the entirety of Evalyn's EP Salvation.

Recorded at LaBoutique Studios Dakar, Griot percussionists Khadim Gueye and Awa Balla (known as Abba, artistically) performed in the sabar, Afrobeat, mbalax, and traditional ancient styles of Senegal.

So why learn from ME?

I started playing the guitar almost 20 years ago. I went to university and got my Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Classical Guitar. Right after graduating, I was offered a full-time teaching position in the local public schools where I have built the BEST guitar programs in my city. I currently hold two teaching certifications with over 500 Professional Development hours. While teaching High School, I focused on expanding my musical career. I have worked with many artists such as:
