Born in Norway, where he studied blues guitar with Morten Omlid, Kid Anderson moved to the states in 2001 to play with Terry Hanck's band, and later with Charlie Musselwhite's band (received the Blues Music Award for best contemporary blues album) and he also toured extensively with Elvin Bishop on the Red Dog Speaks Tour. Andersen was nominated for a Blues Music Award in the 'Gibson Guitar' category and in 2014, 2015, and 2016 he was nominated for a Blues Music Award in the 'Best Instrumentalist – Guitar' category.
