Harnessing the bedroom pop ethos of making the most of what you have, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer Ben Bromley channeled his inner 1990s pre-teen. He sampled a late 1980s Yamaha PSS synth that used the Yamaha YM3812 chip (the first chip to make FM synthesis affordable to the masses) and built Serum presets with its wavetables.

“Antiquity” is a special release by Soul Surplus, paying homage to late 60's and early 70's soul in the style of larger than life artists Marvin Gaye and Al Green! With this release we are excited to feature one of the most important centerpieces of the genre...vocals! In this pack we offer 15 original loops full of lead vocals and background harmonies over hazy warm vintage loops full of guitars, bass and keys. Creators will have access to nearly 300 loops, one-shots, as well as instrument and vocal stems adding up to nearly half a gig of sound!

The 2nd installment in the Native Vibes series; this pack features a more colorful sound. More modern tones with a vintage feel. Inspired by a fusion of newer and older generations of conscious hip-hop and jazz/soul, the timeless energy is felt throughout. Influences include Mos Def, Goldlink, Kendrick Lamar, and Robert Glasper. The unity of brass, keys, and vocals is what makes this pack an appropriate sequel to the first.

CABINET. The “212 VC30” is based on and seeking to recreate the sound of a Vox® AC30/6 fawn 2x12 open back combo. SPEAKER. The “BLU-12C” is based on and seeking to recreate the sound of 12 inch, 8-ohm, 75-Hz cone Celestion® T0530 blue AlNiCo speakers made in January of 2001.

CABINET. The "115 VVRB" is based on and seeking to recreate the sound of a Fender® Vibroverb 1x15 open back combo. SPEAKER. The "E130" is based on and seeking to recreate the sound of a 15 inch, 8-ohm JBL® E130-8 made in 1981.

CABINET. "412 MAR-CB" based on a 1970's Marshall 1960B "checkerboard" 4x12 cabinet. SPEAKER. "GB-M25" based on re-issue Celestion G12M-25 (75 Hz cone) speakers.
