The League' includes three Construction Kits and 40 vinyl samples made with an amazing atmosphere of sounds for great inspiration in the style of 808 Mafia, Bones, Kendrick Lamar and more.

This Kit includes WAV loops and MIDI files so you have complete control over your project and can swap out sounds or change notes anyway you like.

The Vintage Folk Rock Kit is an awesome kit for a 60s / 70s Folk Rock or Indie rock sound. We used the engineering skills of the legendary engineer / producer Phill Brown (Laura Marling / John Martyn / Rolling Stones) whose indepth knowledge of recording bands during these years helped mould the sound of the kit. The Kit used was a beautiful old 1966 Ludwig Hollywood kit and it was setup by legendary drumtech Martin Oldham. To direct us on the sound of the kit we used Folk specialist drummer Martyn Barker (Rufus Wainwright, Richard Hawley, Katherine Williams) who sampled the kit using sticks, hotrods and brushes which effectively gives you three kits - nice!

The digital turn has created new opportunities for scholars across disciplines to use sound in their scholarship. This volume’s contributors provide a blueprint for making sound central to research, teaching, and dissemination. They show how digital sound studies has the potential to transform silent, text-centric cultures of communication in the humanities into rich, multisensory experiences that are more inclusive of diverse knowledges and abilities. Drawing on multiple disciplines—including rhetoric and composition, performance studies, anthropology, history, and information science—the contributors to Digital Sound Studies bring digital humanities and sound studies into productive conversation while probing the assumptions behind the use of digital tools and technologies in academic life. In so doing, they explore how sonic experience might transform our scholarly networks, writing processes, research methodologies, pedagogies, and knowledges of the archive. As they demonstrate, incorporating sound into scholarship is thus not only feasible but urgently necessary.

This PatchVault collection is a custom set of patches, programmed here in the lab by Mongo on our lovely Korg PolySix. There are 34 patches in total, many of which have been specifically designed not just to sound good on their own, but to offer excellent starting-points for your own tweaks and modifications as well. For example, unlike the two Factory Sets, most of Mongo’s custom sounds start with an instant attack which we’ve then tailored as necessary using the PatchVault interface’s envelope sliders – leaving you with more control than, say, a fixed slow attack which can never be speeded up.
